CAIRO, September 2, 2018 - Kabongo Kassongo scored again as Zamalek defeated Enppi 4-1 in the fifth fixture of the Egyptian Premier League.
Zamalek entered the game aiming to collect the full three points, after their surprise loss against Nogoom FC.
The Whites maintained position during the first 30 minutes of the game, but failed to create any real chances on Enppi's goal.
In the 32nd minute of the game, the White Knights came close to scoring, as Mohamed Ibrahim found Ferjani Sassi in space, but the Tunisian's shot went beside the right post.
Just two minutes later, Hazem Emam won a penalty kick for his side after getting tackled by Abdelrahman Amer inside the box.
Zamalek's defender Mahmoud Alaa sent the ball home from the spot, making it 1-0 for the Whites.
Less than five minutes later, Zamalek extended their lead to 2-0, as ENPPI's Salah Soliman finished Ibrahim Hassan's accurate ground cross into the back of his own net.
12 minutes after the restart, Ibrahim found Youssef ‘Obama' in space, whose powerful shot went past Enppi's goalkeeper, but the goal was ruled out for offside.
Less than a minute later, Hassan continued to impress as he calmly converted Sassi's brilliant through pass into the back of the net.
In the 64th minute, Kabongo Kassongo added the fourth goal for his side, as he dribbled skillfully past Enppi's goalkeeper and finished the ball into the empty net.
In the dying moments of the game, Mahmoud ‘Shika' cut inside from the right flank and unleashed a stunning curved shot that left Mahmoud ‘Genesh' helpless.
Following the win, Zamaek tops the league table with ten points and are set to face El-Geish on the 13th of September.
Meanwhile, ENPPI occupy the ninth league spot with six poins and will face Ismaily on the same day.
