CAIRO, August 7, 2018 (MENA) - Egyptian Ministry of Public Business Sector has started holding a series of brainstorming sessions with cotton experts, growers and manufacturers with the aim of developing the national cotton industry. Minister of Public Business Sector Hisham Tawfik chaired the first of these meetings which was dedicated to discussing a report by the state-run Holding Company for Cotton Spinning and Weaving on problems facing its subsidaries, according to a statement issued by the ministry on Tuesday. The minister listened at the meeting to proposals for upgrading the entire spinning and weaving sector, added the statement. The statement said that the reform process of this important sector has already started with the updating of ginning mills and reducing their number to 11 against 25 in the past.
