Security source denies Lebanese prisoner escaped country

CAIRO, July 27, 2018 (MENA) - An Egyptian security source at the Ministry of Interior denied social media reports that a Lebanese prisoner held in Egypt escaped the country.
The source confirmed that Mona Mazbouh, who had been convicted of offending Egypt, spreading false news and disdaining religion, is still in prison.
A video emerged on social media showed Mazbouh insulting Egypt and its people and that she was handed an eight-year jail term.
