BEIJING, July 27, 2018 (MENA) - Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi is scheduled to make a visit to Singapore and Malaysia on Tuesday, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said Friday. Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Geng Shuang said in a press conference that Wang Yi will take part in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) summit that will be hosted by Singapore, the current chairman of the summit. In Singapore, the Chinese foreign minister will hold bilateral meetings with the country's president, prime minister and foreign minister, the spokesman added. During his visit to Malaysia, Wang Yi will hold talks with the Malaysian prime minister and foreign minister, according to the spokesman. The visit aims to foster the strategic relations and partnership with both countries and exchange views towards issues of mutual concern. It also seeks discussing means of supporting the development efforts and attaining stability and prosperity in the region, he said.
