COLOMBO, July 20, 2018 (MENA) - Egypt's Ambassador to Sri Lanka Hussien el Saharty said that the July 23 Revolution has enshrined respectful values and helped the nation to restore its leading regional and international role. The ambassador was addressing a celebration held by the Egyptian embassy in Sri Lanka last night to mark the 66th anniversary of the July 23 Revolution. The event saw the presence of senior political, parliamentary and judiciary Sri Lankan figures. Ambassador el Saharty conveyed the greetings of president Abdel Fattah El Sisi and the Egyptian people to the Sri Lankan people and their president. "Egypt is looking forward to the historic visit of Sri Lankan parliament speaker Karu Jayasuriya to Cairo on July 24-28 along with a high-level parliamentary and governmental delegation, at the invitation of Egyptian House Speaker Ali Abdel Aal," the ambassador said.
