Staff report: KHARTOUM, July 19, 2018 - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi Thursday started a two-day state visit to The Sudan for summit talks with President Omar al-Bashir. It is first foreign trip since Mr. Sisi was sworn in as Egypt's president for a second term last month. "Such ties are eternal like the River Nile, which is a life vein and a genuine fraternity that binds the two countries' brothers," the President wrote. Presidency Spokesman Ambassador Bassam Radi said that Mr. Sisi's visit Khartoum reflected Egypt's keenness on maintaining continuous consultations and coordination with the brotherly Sudan on various issues and files. For more than once, President Bashir highlighted the common history and destiny binding the two peoples of the Nile Valley. He also affirmed his country's keenness on developing co-operation with Egypt at all levels.
