Gazette Staff CAIRO, July 1, 2018 - Polish Minister of Investment and Economic Development Jerzy Kwieciński, heading a high-profile delegation of businessmen, visited the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCAZone) on Sunday. He explored investment opportunities and discussed means of promoting co-operation between Poland and Egypt in trade and the economic and investment fields. During his meeting with the delegation the deputy head of the Suez Canal Economic Zone for the southern region, Mahfouz Taha, reviewed the investment opportunities in the zone and the Ain Sokhna region. Mahfouz gave an overview of the investment in the region and the benefits and incentives in addition to the trade agreements signed between Egypt and a number of African countries. He said that Egypt was now undergoing an economic renaissance through establishing a number of giant national projects which had a positive effects on the gross domestic product.It was attracting more investments into the Egyptian market thanks to the new investment laws which have facilitated a lot of procedures. Mr Kwieciński said that he was happy to see the mega projects being carried out in the Suez Canal Economic Zone. Polish investors and capital owners, he said, would be encouraged to put capital into Egypt, pointing out that Egypt is a gateway to the global market through the Silk Road project.
