VOLGOGRAD, Russia, June 25, 2018 (MENA) - Egypt's goalkeeper Essam El-Hadary breaks the record and becomes the oldest player to participate at a World Cup at the age of 45. The move comes after he was chosen to participate in Egypt's final match in Group A with Saudi Arabia at the age of 45 years and five months, beating the record of former Colombian goalkeeper Faryd Mondragón. The Colombian goalkeeper was 43 years and three days when he played against Japan in 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
