CAIRO- Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Abul Gheit has said thatEgypt is ready to receive a Libyan ship, carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza, and unload it at el-Arish port to hand its relief shipment to the Palestinian side. "Egypt has not yet received any request to receive the ship at el-Arish port," said Abul Gheit Monday evening. Israel on Sunday vowed to prevent athe ship from breaking the Gaza blockade after it appeared to be heading for the besieged enclave despite a flurry of diplomatic efforts to divert it to Egypt. Organisers of the ship have not signaled any sign of bowing. "The Libyan side will inform the Egyptian Foreign Ministry and we will immediately open el-Arish port for the ship," added Abul Gheit.
