CAIRO, June 17, 2018 (MENA) - Egypt's Environment Minister Yasmine Fouad asserted that her ministry works on outlining a proposal to develop the environment work system in order to curb the pollution rates and preserve the natural resources. This can be achieved via preparing environmental policies, plans and programs and implementing them in coordination with the ministries concerned, she noted. In statements, Fouad underlined that proposals of developing environment work in Egypt can be summarized in a number of axes such as implementing strategic goals of the environmental aspect in the sustainable development strategy 2030. The minister further reiterated that these axes include swiftly implementing the new system of solid waste management in the country with the participation of the private sector.
