CAIRO, June 8, 2018 (MENA) - Cairo University signed a letter of intent with an alliance comprising American universities and Indian agricultural companies to set up a center for scientific excellence in Egypt in the agricultural domain. The participating US universities are Cornell, California Davis, Michigan and Purdue. The letter of intent was signed by Cairo University head Mohamed Othman El Khosht and a delegation of seven US university professors. The center, to be based at the Cairo University, aims at enhancing scientific research in Egypt to serve national projects launched by the State lately, developing greenhouses and fisheries, improving poultry farming and upgrading agricultural marketing, Khosht said.
