Egypt, Portugal discuss cooperation in manufacturing tablets, PCs

CAIRO, May 23,2018 (MENA) - State Minister of Military Production Mohamed el Assar conferred with Portuguese Ambassador to Egypt Madalena Fischer and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Portuguese company of JP Sá Couto on joint cooperation.
The meeting aims at discussing the possibility of cooperation between the Egyptian and the Portuguese sides in the field of manufacturing tablets and personal computers, Assar said.
Assar pointed out to the possibility of exchanging information and expertise in this field between the Portuguese company and Benha Electronics, an affiliate company of the Military Production Ministry, Assar added.
The Ministry, he said, is keen on applying the latest technological systems in the field of industrialisation.
On the other hand, Fischer asserted his country's keenness on joint cooperation and discussing the investment opportunities in Egypt especially in light of the good investment climate and the success of the economic reform programme in Egypt and its role in attracting more Portuguese investments.
Fischer said that she is looking forward to holding new partnerships between the Portuguese companies and the military production companies to contribute to furthering the economic ties between Egypt and Portugal.
Meanwhile, the CEO of JP Sá Couto said that the company is working in the field of offering technological and creative sustainable technical solutions in the different domains topped by projects to develop education via information and communication technology.
