Gazette Staff CAIRO, May 19, 2018 - Egyptian aid has been trickling into the Gaza Strip through the Rafah Border Crossing, which will remain open during Ramadan to ease hardship for the Palestinian brethrens, a Cairo government minister said yesterday. Social Solidarity Minister Ghada Wali, who also functions as the deputy chairperson of the Egyptian Red Crescent Society (ERCS), said that over the past three days Egypt had sent more than seven tonnes of essential medical aid to the Gaza residents. The aid was delivered to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society officials, Minister Wali said, adding that an official ERCS team had visited the wounded Palestinians at the Northern Sinai of Arish and Cairo.
