Egyptian National Railways wins EBRD Gold Award

CAIRO, May 15, 2018 (MENA) - Assistant Transport Minister Amr Shaat and Deputy Chairman of the Egyptian National Railways Magdy el Sabbagh received on Tuesday a Gold Award from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
Egypt won the award in the field of "Environmental and Social Best Practice".
The railway company received the award in recognition of its pioneering work in addressing gender issues. This includes an awareness-raising campaign to improve safety for women and prevent harassment.
