RAMALLAH, May 8, 2018 (MENA) - Member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO) Ahmed Magdalany on Tuesday said that the Palestinian leadership will take several political measures in response to moving the US embassy from Tel Aviv to occupied East Jerusalem (al-Quds). In an interview with Voice of Palestine Radio, he explained that these measures include announcing the capital's secretariat in occupied East Jerusalem and referring a number of files to the International Criminal Court along with joining some international agencies concerned. Other measures, he added, will include stepping up popular resistance against the Israeli occupation. Moving the US embassy to al-Quds is a serious defiance of the international community and international legitimacy resolutions, he pointed out. The move also is provocative to the feelings of the Palestinians, he confirmed. May 14 will be a day of popular rage in the Palestinian territories, he added.
