GIZA, May 5, 2018 (MENA) - Egypt's Minister of Antiquities Khaled El Enany said the fire which broke out recently at the site of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) did not affect the statue of Ramesses II. During his tour of the place, accompanied by local and international media people, Enany said that work is ongoing in the museum project in accordance with the set timetable to prepare for its partial inauguration by the end of the current year. He pointed out that a propaganda campaign will be launched to promote for displaying the ancient treasures of Tanis and the artifacts of Yoya and Toya in the coming period at the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities in downtown Cairo's Tahrir Square after transferring King Tutankhamun's artifacts from there to the grand museum in the Giza plateau.
