CAIRO, April 22, 2018 (MENA) - The Egyptian Federation for Electronic Games has welcomed a decision taken by the public prosecutor to block websites that host the Blue Whale suicide game. The public prosecutor on Saturday ordered the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA) to take all measures required to block websites that allow the installment of such dangerous games. "This game is considered a threat to children and youths who may harm themselves and their families with acts including suicide and murder", said a press release issued by the public prosecutor's office. "This affects the security and safety of a wide range of Egyptian families, making it a matter of national security and higher interests of the country," added the statement.
