LUXOR, Egypt, April 21,2018 (MENA) - Egypt's Antiquities Minister Khaled el Anani unveiled the second statue of Ramses II at Luxor Temple after restoration work. A ceremony on the occasion was held in the presence of Luxor Governor Mohamed Badr, the Congolese ambassador to Egypt and a host of senior officials of the Antiquities Ministry. Anani voiced appreciation that the statue was renovated by an Egyptian mission. Ramses II is also known as Ramses the Great or Ozymandias. Ramses II ruled ancient Egypt from 1279–1213 BC and was known for his building projects and successful military expeditions.
