12 EgyptAir, customs employees arrested over bribery charges

CAIRO, April 18, 2018 (MENA) - The Administrative Control Authority seized twelve employees at firms affiliated to EgyptAir Holding Company and the Egyptian Customs Authority over charges of bribery and abuse of power.
The employees took bribes from owners of pharmacies and pharmaceutical companies to allow prohibited medicines into the country.
The 2-million-pound banned medicines for tumors and Hepatitis virus C were imported from a South Asian state.
The caught officials were sent to the public prosecution.
