President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has already cast his ballot in the presidential election at a constituency in Cairo's Heliopolis district. The polling stations nationwide opened their doors for eligible voters at 9:00 a.m. on Monday. The balloting process, which will last for three days, is held under full judicial supervision. Civil society organisations and local and international media outlets are following up the presidential election. Voters started to queue at the polling stations before they opened their doors at 9 am (Cairo local time). Judges and election officials started their work by casting their ballot after showing their identification cards. As many as 60 million people are eligible to vote in the election which is held under the supervision of 18,678 judges from the various judicial bodies and authorities. They are overseeing 13,687 polling stations across the country.
