Cairo, March 20 - Air Arabia has launched regular flights between Sohag in Upper Egypt and Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, the first flight taking off from Sohag airport on Tuesday morning. The company operates 3 weekly flights from Sohag Airport to King Abdul Aziz Airport in Jeddah as part of its plan to expand its network and increase the number of destinations it reaches in the region. Air Arabia, which launched seven new routes this year, is the first low cost airline in the Middle East. It flies to 147 destinations around the world. The airline operates from Cairo, Borg Al Arab, Alexandria, Assiut and Sohag to a number of destinations including Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Oman, Riyadh and Jeddah.
