LUXOR, Egypt, March 17, 2018 - Governor Mohamed Badr on Saturday recieved a South Korean delegation, led by Ambassador Yoon Yeo-cheol, who started a three-day visit to the governorate. The visit aims at signing a number of protocols and exchange experiences in different investment fields as well as establishing direct flights between South Korean cities and Luxor in the near future. The newly-appointed Ambassador Yeo-cheol expressed his happiness for his first ever visit to Luxor, praising its magnificent nature and great monuments. The ambassador, however, said that the city needed more marketing efforts to attract more tourists from around the world, adding that he would recommend it for his friends. He added that the city of Gongju was a captial of South Korea in ancient times, the same case as Luxor. Thus, he said, the Cairo and Seoul governments should study ways to implement a twinning agreement, as both were capitals in ancient civilisations in addition to increase the level of co-operation in different fields such as education, health and investment projects through coordination between government agencies and investors
