Published in Daily News Egypt on 26 - 08 - 2025

Egypt will launch a trade mission to Ghana from 25 to 30 August 2025, bringing together 14 companies from the Chemical and Fertilizers Export Council to explore investment opportunities and deepen bilateral economic ties.
The mission is organised under the auspices of Egypt's Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade and Ghana's Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Agricultural Business. It is supported by the Egyptian Embassy in Accra, the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GNCCI), the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI), and coordinated by the Egyptian Commercial Office in Accra, headed by Minister Plenipotentiary for Commercial Affairs Nissreen Wahish.
Khaled Abou El Makarem, Chairperson of the Chemical and Fertilizers Export Council, said the initiative is part of the council's strategy to expand access to promising African markets and boost cooperation between Egyptian and Ghanaian companies in the sector.
Council Executive Director Mohamed Mageed explained that Ghana was chosen for its strategic role as a regional hub in West Africa. Yehia El Minshawy, the council's Director of International Cooperation, added that market studies identified strong potential for Egyptian exports in fertilizers and pesticides, paints, glass, detergents, chemicals, inks, adhesives, rubber, and plastics.
The programme will include a B2B forum on 27 August at the Alisa Hotel in Accra, where Egyptian exporters will meet Ghanaian companies to explore partnerships and investment prospects.
The mission, organised by the Chemical and Fertilizers Export Council, is part of ongoing efforts to expand Egypt's footprint in Africa and open new markets for its industries.
