Published in Amwal Al Ghad on 27 - 01 - 2026

Egypt's Prime Minister, Moustafa Madbouly, held a meeting on Monday to review the execution and financial status of Phase One of the presidential initiative Haya Karima (Decent Life) and to discuss preparations for the launch of Phase Two.
The meeting is part of ongoing monitoring of the initiative, in line with President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi's directives to accelerate projects nearing completion and ensure the immediate handover of finished works to serve citizens. Madbouly noted that discussions also focused on scientific and careful planning for Phase Two, with the aim of extending development efforts to new villages across the country.
During the meeting, Randa Al-Minshawi, First Assistant to the Prime Minister, reported that 22,318 projects have been completed so far out of a total target of 27,332 across 1,477 villages in 20 governorates, with around 17,000 projects already handed over. Between 13 January and 25 January 2026 alone, works were completed in 18 villages, 114 projects were finalized, and 185 projects were received. She also reviewed the financial status of Phase One and the allocation of funds for remaining works, particularly urgent priority projects.
Al-Minshawi added that 307 urgent projects are currently under execution, with more than 90 per cent completed, covering sanitation, water supply, sewage systems, treatment plants, water stations, and health units, with additional projects planned for expedited completion.
Preparatory studies for Phase Two were also presented, targeting approximately 1,667 villages across 20 governorates, with around 14,500 projects planned in priority sectors to benefit rural communities.
