CIB celebrates second-round graduates of East Africa Analyst Program in Egypt
Published in Daily News Egypt on 05 - 06 - 2023

Egypt's leading private sector bank, Commercial International Bank (CIB), celebrated the graduation of the second batch of the East Africa Analyst Program in Egypt, which comprised 8 months of training to acquire various skills and knowledge of the most important technical concepts in the banking sector in general, and credit in particular.
This would enable them to make sound lending decisions. The program ended with a graduation ceremony for the 20 Kenyan graduates, after they had passed the final stages of the program and were prepared to leave their mark on the banking market in Africa.
The launch of the East Africa Analyst Program happened within the framework of the Bank's strategy to expand its role in Kenya as a pioneer of banking development in East Africa.
The program began in 2020, and it was created to support the African financial system by developing young African talents capable of leading the industry with the knowledge and skills acquired through the Bank's experienced trainers and professionals. The program was held between Kenya and Egypt in a blended in-person and virtual format that incorporated various learning methods, designed to broaden the scope of banking technical knowledge.
The program was crowned with a graduation ceremony that was held in Egypt in the presence of Hisham Ezz Al-Arab, Chairperson of CIB, in addition to some members of CIB's Senior Management.
Ezz Al-Arab expressed that "We are immensely proud of the success achieved by the East Africa Analyst Program over the two rounds," and added that CIB believes this program helps solidify the Bank's leading role in the banking sector, especially after our full acquisition of the Mayfair CIB Bank Limited in Kenya, which made a real impact on strengthening trade and investment ties between Egypt and Kenya.
The program is considered to be an extension of efforts by the state and the Central Bank of Egypt to consolidate African relations and work toward making a positive impact on the continent.
