Eighth edition of annual international conference of BWE21 to kick-off in February
Published in Daily News Egypt on 26 - 09 - 2022

The Arab League (AL) will host the eighth annual International Conference of Businesswomen of Egypt 21 (BWE21) under the chairpersonship of Yomna Al-Sheridy under the title 'Business Diversity for Sustainability,' next February.
The activities of the annual conference will run from 23 to 27 February 2023 in the governorates of Cairo and the New Valley (specifically the Kharga and Dakhla Oases).
The conference is sponsored every year by Egypt's Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, along with the Ministries of Trade and Industry, Tourism and Antiquities, Planning and Economic Development, Expatriate Affairs, International Cooperation, Social Solidarity, Environment, Civil Aviation, and Interior, in addition to the AL and the National Council for Women (NCW).
The conference will discuss many axes, issues, and challenges facing the private sector and owners of small and medium enterprises, how to implement sustainability in commercial activities, and discuss new financial tools to expand global trade, as well as discuss ways to develop cross-border export services.
In this context, Al-Sheridy stated that the eighth edition of the BWE21 will emphasise the importance of commercial diversity and achieving sustainability in all commercial and industrial sectors, explaining that the association will hold a number of seminars and workshops that contribute significantly in achieving sustainability in all sectors in which businesswomen work in Egypt, the Middle East, Africa, and Europe.
She added that the conference will address many important issues, including enhancing investment opportunities in the Western Desert — especially in the Dakhla and Kharga Oases — in addition to the challenges and problems facing suppliers and the most important steps that must be taken to develop cross-border export services.
Furthermore, she stated that an archaeological tourism programme will be organised for several archaeological and tourist areas in the oases for foreign delegations and members of the association participating in the conference, noting that these visits come within the framework of the association's keenness to promote tourism and ancient Egyptian civilisation.
