10 people of different nationalities killed, 14 injured in a road crash in Aswan

Egypt's Ministry of Health and Population announced on Wednesday that 10 people died and 14 others of different nationalities were injured in a collision between a tourist bus and a pickup truck on the Abu Simbel-Aswan Road on Wednesday morning.
The deaths include five Egyptians, four French, and a Belgian. The ministry said it directed 30 ambulances to the crash site.
Hossam Abdel Ghaffar — the Official Spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population — stated that ambulances transported the injured to Aswan University Hospital. A source at Aswan University Hospital told local reporters that the injured foreigners included eight French and six Belgians.
He also stated that the injuries ranged from sporadic bruises and cuts to fractures, and abrasions, stressing that the injured received all the necessary medical and emergency services, and the availability of medical supplies and blood bags at the hospital.
Meanwhile, Acting Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar directed the head of the therapeutic medicine sector to travel to Aswan to follow up on providing the highest levels of health care for the injured in this accident.
