Egypt's ITIDA introduces digital transformation roadmap for software companies
Initiative aims to help local software development companies keep track of latest global digital transformation trends

Egypt's Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), through its arm Software Engineering Competence Center (SECC), has launched the Digital Transformation 4 Software Development Companies (DX4SW) initiative.
The initiative aims to help local software development companies keep track of the latest global digital transformation trends.
It also aims to support digital transformation and enterprise agility in the local IT sector, by helping software development companies achieve their digital strategies and business objectives.
The DX4SW initiative comes in cooperation with the Chamber of Information Technology and Communication (CIT) and the Egyptian Information, Telecommunications, Electronics, and Software Alliance (EITESAL).
The DX4SW reference architecture and DX guide focus on the development of five main aspects. These include: the company Performance and Outcome; Processes; People; Information Systems; and Technology.
At the same time, the initiative aims to leverage SECC's expertise in applying the international quality standards in the software industry.
According to the DX4SW Product Structure, SECC will present an innovative, technology-enabled and capability-based reference architecture offering a service roadmap. This aims to help these companies optimise the initiative's resources and meet the DX global trends, following an initial capability assessment for the beneficiary companies.
Both CIT and EITESAL will subsidise their member companies to join the initiative according to their size, offering 80% to small enterprises, 70% to medium-sized enterprises, and 60% to large enterprises.
ITIDA has set out the eligibility criteria, which stipulates that the beneficiary company must have at least three years of work experience, and must be an Egyptian company working in the ICT field. The company must also be registered with ITIDA's online company database.
