2019 TEI to witness participation of 100 Egyptian businesspersons: Indonesian embassy
List includes both exporters and importers, says Aji Surya

About 100 Egyptian businesspersons are expected to participate in the 34th Trade Expo Indonesia (2019 TEI) that will be held from 16 to 20 October in Jakarta, Deputy Chief of Mission at Indonesia's embassy to Egypt, M Aji Surya, told Daily News Egypt.
The 2019 TEI is an international business to business (B2B) focused tradeshow that is designed to boost export product growth and export market expansion, Aji Surya added, noting, "about 55 Egyptian companies confirmed their participation at the TEI while 75 Egyptian companies already took part in 2018 TEI."
Egyptian officials are welcomed to attend the TEI 2019, yet the event will mainly focus on private sector activities, Aji Surya said, noting that the list of participating Egyptian companies includes both exporters and importers.
Several deals are expected to be inked during the 2019 TEI and the expo would present awards to businesspersons, Aji Surya said.
Notably, six Egyptian companies signed several agreements, worth at $67.5m, with Indonesian companies to import food and beverage products and tires in October 2018 on the sidelines of the TEI. The TEI presents numerous carefully-categorised products, encompassing manufacturing products, strategic industry products, creative products and services, furniture, food and beverage products, craft and lifestyle products and local champion products.
The positive economic developments will encourage Indonesian investors to enter the Egyptian market, Aji Surya asserted, calling on the Egyptian government to further promote its economic success globally to attract more FDIs into the country.
"We notice very closely that Egypt's investment climate is improving as well as the GDP growth and law enforcement is getting better which make the market here very promising for investors to do business," Aji Surya mentioned.
The Egyptian market attracts many Indonesian companies in the food industries sector, glassware, tires and others, he stated.
