Egypt to Host EGYPS second edition
2018 edition will focus on launching program's vision including cooperation between investors and top priority oil projects, says vice President of Global Energy DMG Events

Egypt International Petroleum show 2018 ((EGYPS) will be held from 12 to 14 February at the New Cairo Exhibition Centre.
It will be the first international event to be held in the new centre in support of Egypt's strategic position as a vital industry centre.
In the same context, EGYPS 2018 to be held under the patronage of his Excellency President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi , President of Egypt, spearheaded by the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources and organized by DMG Events' global energy and ACG-ITF.
EGYPS 2018 will host three-day technical and two-day strategic business conference including a special focus on finance and investment, plus a newly launched Security and HSE in Energy Conference, with a one day women's conference in energy, according to EGYPS release.
In the same context, EGYPS 2018 to launch the ‘Women In Energy Awards' a program created to celebrate excellence and honour women who demonstrated competence in the oil and gas sector in Egypt and North Africa through three award categories, EGYPS said.
For his part, Jean-Philippe Cossé, Vice President of Global Energy DMG Events, said that this edition will focus on launching the program's vision, including the best aspects of cooperation between investors and the top priority oil projects.
"It provides a great opportunity for participants to enter new markets and build productive and profitable business relationships," said Cossé.
"All stakeholders including key Egyptian and North African government representatives, project owners, National Oil Companies (NOCs), International Oil Companies (IOCs), international service providers, EPC contractors, consultants and investors are very excited to be part of EGYPS 2018 and look forward to the strategic, technical and financial opportunities in the Egyptian and North African energy arena," added Cossé.
For his part, Minister of petroleum, Tarek EL Malla said that 2018 edition comes at a crucial time when we are witnessing significant developments in the energy sector in Egypt.
Further more, he expects drilling of about 230 exploration wells worth $2 bn throughout 2018, and investments worth $27.3 bn across the Zohr, North Alexandria and Noras gas fields, as well as 83 newly-signed, upstream exploration concessions worth approximately $15.5 billion.
He stressed that Egypt is currently working to achieve gas self-sufficiency by the end of 2018 and maximize its enormous potential to become a regional hub for the oil and gas sector by 2021.
