Published in Daily News Egypt on 12 - 09 - 2017

The film project "Joint Possession" by Moroccan director Leila Kilani won the Cinegouna platform award, one of the side programs of EL-Gouna Film Festival.
The film is common production between DKB Productions (France) and Socco Chico Films (Morocco).
The film tells the story of real estate developers that tear lands and sell them separately, one of them is a land on the hills of Tangier in Morocco where a family must decide whether to sell a large plot of land on which their old house lies.
The film also won the MAD Solutions Award earlier this month. The award is granted to one of the Arab film projects taking part at the 5th Final Cut in Venice held within the 74th Venice International Film Festival.
According to a press release that was issued by Mad productions, The award offered by MAD Solutions comes as part of the company's strategy to support the Arab film industry through its different production stages internationally and within the Arab region and to promote them on the long run.
The 5th Final Cut in Venice workshop offers post-production support for films from African countries including Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine and Syria. In the workshop films are screened to a group of producers, distributors, and festival managers, aiming to collect several point of views from different perspectives regarding films.
