Majid Al-Futtaim to open Mall of Egypt in March
Will be first regional shopping center for the company in Egypt, offering unprecedented concepts in shopping and entertainment

Majid Al-Futtaim, leading shopping mall, communities, retail, and leisure pioneer across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia, decided to inaugurate "Mall of Egypt" on 2 March, according to an official statement by the company.
Al-Futtaim announced on Wednesday that the company is currently working on completing the final preparations for the opening of the mall. It is located on a total area of 455,500sqm on Al-Wahat Road in the 6th of October City. The total investments injected in Mall of Egypt reached EGP 6.3bn, according to the statement.
The mall includes a wide range of shops and cinemas, with a total rental area of 165,000sqm, and a large parking lot with a capacity of about 6,500 cars.
Al-Futtaim operates in 14 markets around the world and currently owns and manages 19 shopping centres, 12 hotels, and 3 real-estate projects, in addition to a number of projects under construction.
The company also owns the exclusive franchise right of the "Carrefour" brand in 38 markets in the Middle East, Africa, and Central Asia.
Mall of Egypt consists of two floors and includes VOX cinemas, Ski Egypt, Carrefour, Magic Planet, and Young Explorers.
