CAIRO: Hungarian referee Viktor Kassai has been assigned to preside over Monday s encounter between Telecom Egypt and Ismaili, the Egyptian Football Association announced. The high-profile official will be assisted by fellow countrymen in the pivotal Egyptian Premier League game. Last week, Ismaili had called on the EFA to assign a foreign referee for their upcoming game in order to ensure impartiality at this critical stage of the league. The Dervishes are level on points with leaders Ahly on top of the table, and both sides will meet in a league decider if they remain tied on equal points till the end of the season. For this reason, Ismaili will have to win the game to boost their title credentials. Telecom, on the other hand, lie in 14th place and they will also be aiming to clinch all three points to move clear of the relegation zone.
