French foreign minister calls for quicker investigations on EgyptAir MS804 crash

During a phone call on Wednesday, French foreign minister Jean-Marc Ayrault reminded Egypt's Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry to pay attention to the rising concerns of the families of the victims of the crashed EgyptAir flight MS804.
He stated that the families of the victims are still awaiting the return of human remains and personal belongings, and had not received a clear explanation about the reasons behind the aeroplane crash.
In a statement, the French minister affirmed that France is providing assistance through its Bureau of Investigation and Analysis (BEA) and the Institute of Criminal Research of the National Gendarmerie (IRCGN). The entities are helping with the technical investigations, as well as the process of identifying victims.
On 19 May, EgyptAir flight MS804, flying from Paris to Cairo, crashed into the Mediterranean Sea, killing all 66 passengers and crew members on board, including 40 Egyptians and 15 French. The flight had disappeared from the Egyptian and Greek radars with no distress signal emitted from the plane. Investigations into the aeroplane crash continue until today.
