Appeal presented against arrest of UWK member
The appeal stated that the ruling violates the law, says defence lawyer

Rights lawyer Tarek Al-Awady filed an appeal Saturday against the arrest of Ultras White Knights (UWK) member Sayed Ali "Moshagheb".
Moshagheb was sentenced to one year in prison on charges of storming into Al-Zamalek club. However Al-Awady said in his appeal that the ruling violates the law in several points and obstructs the rights of the appellant.
"The ruling is in error in the application of the law and its interpretation, corrupt in its inference and deficient in the causation, and prejudiced against the right of defence," Al-Awady said.
"The court punished Moshagheb and others for their act of assembly despite the lack of evidence," Al-Awady said in the reasoning. "They were only trying to enter the club to attend the training of Al-Zamalek club, and the club manager prevented them."
Moshagheb, a prominent Ultras White Knight member, started a hunger strike to protest his mistreatment in Al-Aqrab Prison, the maximum security wing of Tora Prison where he is detained. His detention is also pending other trials, including one on the Air Defence Stadium events.
On 8 February 2015, an Egyptian premier league football match between Al-Zamalek SC and ENPPI took a violent turn as fans were attempting to enter the Air Defence Stadium. Many were killed when security forces violently dispersed fans crowding the entrance to the stadium.
