Kia, Hyundai to present 6 new car models in 2016
Egyptian International Motors (EIM), the agent for Kia in Egypt, is presenting new models of the Carens, Cerato, Rio, Picanto, and Soul in the Egyptian market.

Egyptian International Motors (EIM), the agent for Kia in Egypt, is presenting new models of the Carens, Cerato, Rio, Picanto, and Soul in the Egyptian market. Meanwhile, Ghabbour Auto, Hyundai's agent in Egypt, is presenting the Hyundai i10 2016.
Kia Rio 2016
Kia, the Korean automobile manufacturer, presented its new 2016 model of the Kia Rio. Kia Rio 2016 comes in both sedan and hatchback. The hatchback model comes with either three or five doors, while the sedan model comes with four doors.
The Rio's prices vary between EGP 129,900 and EGP 166,000, representing an EGP 4,000 to EGP 7,500 increase compared to the price of the 2015 model.
The Kia Rio has some simple updates in the exterior design, which include new grilles and new headlights and rear lamps.
The Kia Rio 2016 comes in two new exterior colours; Urban Blue and Digital Yellow, while the interior of the Kia Rio 2015 is made of new material of better quality than the previously used fabric.
The Rio has a 1,400 CC four cylinder engine routing, 107 horsepower at 6,300 rpm.
The Kia Rio was able to gain the trust of its customers, evidenced by the sale of 812 cars in the first five months of this year.
Kia Carens 2016
As for the Kia Carens 2016, its price varies between EGP 179,900 and EGP 239,900, with an EGP 3,000 to EGP 5,000 increase from the prices of the 2015 model.
The Carens 2016 was presented with the same design as the Carens 2015, without any alterations.
The Carens was able to sell 633 cars during the first five months of this year, according to a report by the Automotive Marketing Information Council (AMIC).
Kia Cerato
EIM, Kia's agent in Egypt, presented the Cerato 2016 model at a price that varies between EGP 142,900 and EGP 199,900. The Cerato 2016 has the same design as the 2015 model, with some new features added.
The car is available in two types of four cylinder engines, with Six-Speed Manual and Automatic Transmission. The first engine is of 1.6 litre capacity, 130 horsepower, 6,300rpm.
The Cerato sold 1,078 cars during the first five months of this year.
Kia Picanto
The Kia Picanto 2016 is offered at EGP 90,900 to EGP 111,900, with an increase of roughly EGP 5,000 compared to the previous model.
The Kia Picanto is an eco-friendly car as it is designed with the latest technology. The windshield is bigger than before and black, giving the car a sportive touch. The fog lights have a circular design and the tyres also have a sportive look.
The new Picanto model is available with the same engine at 1.0 litre capacity and three cylinders, giving the car 70hp.
In the first five months of the year, 450 Kia Picanto cars were sold, of the 2015 model.
Kia Soul
Kia launched its Kia Soul model for 2016 in the Egyptian market at a price ranging from EGP 167,900 to EGP 205,900, an increase ranging from EGP 1,000 to EGP 7,000.
The Kia Soul hatchback comes with an automatic gear and has an engine of 1.6 litre capacity, with 124hp and 6,300rpm.
The Kia Soul 2015 achieved sales of 200 cars by the end of last May.
Hyundai i10 2016
On the other hand, GB Ghabbour Auto launched the new Hyundai i10 2016 at a price range of EGP 80,490 to EGP 90,990.
The i10 is a hatchback model with manual and automatic gear, and has an engine of 1.1 litre capacity, and a power of 69hp and 5,500rpm.
The Hyundai i10 2015 model sold 268 cars by the end of last May.
