Sharm El-Sheikh is preparing for the delegations and international companies that will participate in the Economic Summit later on this month, according to South Sinai Governor Khaled Fouda.
Fouda added that the governorate and executive agencies have completed the construction of all services and street decorations.
He added that he has visited Naama Bay to ensure safety, and the absence of any type of pollution, whilst also observing the bay's decoration that includes statues.
Sharm El-Sheikh has 25,000 hotel rooms of the total 62,000 rooms in South Sinai, according to statistics from the Chamber of Hotels.
According to the governor, Naama Bay will celebrate several festivals during the summit, for the visitors' entertainment. Many bands will participate, including Reda Band for folk arts, and several other folk bands.
The governor called on citizens to take responsibility, as the summit is considered a historical event, and whoever does anything in Sharm El-Sheikh is doing something for the whole country.
Prime Minister Ibrahim Mehleb and Fouda will go on an inspection tour in Sharm El-Sheikh. In the company of a delegation, they inspected murals under construction, in front of the conference hall, set as decoration for the summit, the landscape arts and green zones and fine arts, in El-Salam Street in Sharm El-Sheikh.
Occupancies in Sharm El-Sheikh during March are at 45%, which is expected to increase to 60% at the end of the month. This is due to the state's marketing plan, whether for the city or for the summit.
The majority of Sharm El-Sheikh's visitors are from Russia and West Europe, particularly the UK and Germany.
