Cash Machine Services (CMS) is introducing a security ATM cabinet to Egypt, the first of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa region (MENA), said Khalid Abdel Wahab, CMS Board Member. Abdel Wahab said this is the first time Egyptian clients have access to physical and electronic security at the same time, adding that these cabinets are fire proof, explosion proof and bullet proof. Abdel Wahab also added that the cabinets are monitored with cameras. The service is to be delivered to customers in partnership with banks, with five Egyptian banks offering in November to deliver this service, according to Abdel Wahab. CMS services ATM, and provides maintenance and cleaning for ATM machines – everything related to ATMs except providing cash, he said. The firm is also offering some security solutions and mobile applications through its sister company E-Banking. Abdel Wahab said that E-Banking and CMS have long been competitors but they merged in November, with CMS providing ATM servicing and E-Banking acting as a solution-provider and software developer. CMS serves around 20 banks and holds a 75% market share. They serve 5,500 ATMs across the country. By 2016, CMS plans to expand their services outside Egypt to be present in other Arab countries. "We are already studying the Emirati and Saudi markets, and inside Africa, we are considering the Sudanese and Libyan markets," Abdel Wahab added.
