The Cairo Court for Urgent Matters ruled that the case filed by Mortada Mansour against the Ultras White Knights, designating them as a "terrorist organisation," does not fall under its jurisdiction, referring the case to the administrative court in a session to be held on 18 October. Chairman of Zamalek Football Club Mortada Mansour filed a lawsuit against the Ultras White Knights, the football fan group supporting Al-Zamalek, demanding that the group be dissolved and designated as a terrorist organisation. The lawsuit was filed after Mansour accused members of the ultras of attempting to assassinate him outside the club headquarters on 17 August. He also accuses the group of acts of vandalism, and burning the headquarters of the Egyptian Football Association and the Al-Ahly and Al-Zamalek headquarters in his lawsuit. Seven ultras members were arrested from their homes following the alleged assassination attempt. Mansour has long had a disputed relationship with the ultras, and many believe the lawsuit against the group is politically motivated.
