Mansour in Abu Dhabi to brief Emirati president on roadmap
Published in Daily News Egypt on 31 - 10 - 2013

Interim President Adly Mansour discussed bilateral relations with President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and emir of Abu Dhabi, Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Thursday.
The talks, which were attended by Emirati Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, addressed increasing Emirati investments in Egyptian markets and encouraging tourism in Egypt, state-run MENA reported.
Al Nahyan said he hoped that relations between the two countries progress for the benefit of both people, UAE's state agency reported. Mansour briefed Al Nahyan on the roadmap Egypt is following in order to achieve economic, political and security stability. Mansour also expressed his pride in the "great developments" taking place in the Gulf country.
The interim president was received in the UAE by Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Emirati armed forces.
Interim Prime Minister Hazem El-Beblawi had returned earlier this week from a trip to the UAE after a three day visit.
Mansour arrived in Abu Dhabi with an Egyptian delegation on Wednesday night, his second destination in his second overseas tour which he began on Wednesday with a short visit to Kuwait.
In Kuwait, Mansour held talks with Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and the two discussed strengthening ties between the two countries.
A presidential statement cited by MENA said the Gulf tour comes as part of Mansour's keenness on expressing gratitude for the decisive positions taken by the leaderships of both countries at a "historic moment" to support the Egyptian people.
Within a few days of the ouster of former President Mohamed Morsi on 3 July, three gulf countries – Kuwait, the UAE and Saudi Arabia – announced billions of dollars in aid to Egypt.
The UAE trip brings the number of countries Mansour has visited as president to four. His first overseas tour earlier this month included a trip to Saudi Arabia followed by Jordan, where Mansour held talks with the kings of both countries.
