Foreign ministry officials held press conferences and meetings with government officials in India, Algeria and Sudan according to statements released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday. The Egyptian Media Office in Khartoum, Sudan held an iftar with writers and editors-in-chief of local publications to explain the "truth of the developments" that are taking place in Egypt since "the 30 June revolution," according to the statement. Egypt's ambassador in Algeria, Ezz El-Din Fahmy, met with Algerian foreign ministry officials including the manager of the Arab administration and the manager of the African administration to explain the roadmap that "the political powers have agreed upon," the statement said. Fahmy also held a press conference with Algerian media representatives. The ambassador in India, Khaled Al-Boqly, also held a press conference with local reporters in New Delhi and media figures to explain that the "30 June revolution is an expression of the people's will" and that Egypt is dedicated to sticking to the roadmap, the statement concluded. The Egyptian foreign ministry stressed the importance for all political groups to participate in the country's roadmap and refrain from resorting to violence.
