Managing Editor
A new position has arisen for an experienced Managing Editor to take charge of the print edition of Daily News Egypt. This is a role of big responsibility and pressure, where she/he will be managing a team of editors and reporters to ensure that the content produced on a daily basis is of high quality and timely. The Managing Editor will report directly to the Chef Editor and will be expected to deliver excellent results as this publication aims to maintain its position at the top of the print press market as Egypt's first independent English language daily newspaper.

A successful candidate would be a native English speaker, preferably with good communication skills in Arabic. She/he should possess significant experience within the industry and ideally maintains a high level of cultural understanding of the sensitivities involved in daily publishing. A candidate does not necessarily have to come from a current position as a Managing Editor. The role may suit an ambitious and talented editor who is looking for the next step up the career ladder. A successful candidate should have good understanding of production operations, daily workflow and budgeting.

Section Editors (Politics, Business, Arts, Social Media and Opinion)
Daily News Egypt is seeking talented and dynamic Section Editors to join its team. Successful candidates should have significant writing/editing experience and should also have a solid background in Egypt's current affairs. Each editor will share responsibility with the Managing Editor for maintaining the editorial direction of the newspaper and the day-to-day management of editorial activities in her/his section. Responsibilities will include: planning, editing, commissioning and writing news, editorials and longer-form features for the print edition; producing and managing content for the online edition; managing an editorial team in a fast-paced newsroom; securing and conducting high profile interviews with top figures and policymakers; managing staffing and reporting to the Managing Editor. Candidates should have excellent command of English writing.

News Reporters
Daily News Egypt is seeking talented, dynamic and hardworking News Reporters. Day-to-day as a reporter, a successful candidate will be researching and writing both news and feature stories. She/he will be interviewing sources, generating ideas for stories and keeping up to date with news developments. In addition to all of that, a News Reporter will be developing contacts and networking for future coverage and news hunting. Candidates should have excellent command of English writing.

Translators (Arabic into English)
Daily News Egypt is seeking highly skilled translators with experience in written journalistic content. Successful candidates should be able to produce high quality translations from Arabic into English under very tight deadlines and should be able to maintain quality texts under the usual pressure of a fast-paced newsroom.
