Already behind two great brands, sisters Karma and Dina Sabit joined forces together to open up Cairo's newest boutique: KDS. Karma has been making jewelry for over fiver years now, working with gold and silver and semi precious stones. Dina is one of the women behind bohemian-chic brand El-Horreya. Not simply content with only working on their own brands, they've decided to set a space for other brands and set a space for items that wouldn't be placed elsewhere. Vintage sunglasses; quilted bags with local material such as thick coarse hemp by Amina Safawat; Sevinch accessories made from tassel and satin; art work by the youngest Sabit sister, Dalia; and local brands like Shibshibi and Hebz by Heba El Awadi also sell through KDS. The newest brand spotted here and nowhere else in town is ‘Holeyy by Nermeen El Ghamrawy: kaftans and blouses made from the lightest of linens and silky cottons.
