Al-Sheshini happy with strikers' goals

CAIRO: Zamalek assistant coach Sami Al-Sheshini is relieved that his strikers began to rediscover their scoring touch.
Sherif Ashraf scored twice and his strike partner Abdel-Halim Ali was also on the score sheet as Zamalek defeated Gaish 4-2 in the Egyptian Premier League on Saturday.
Finally, Zamalek frontmen managed to find the net, Al-Sheshini told Nile Sports after the game.
Previously, our strikers went through 11 matches without scoring more than one goal but now they rediscovered their scoring touch.
The diminutive Ashraf, who came through the youth ranks of Zamalek s arch-rivals Ahly, became the team s top scorer with four goals.
Zamalek s all-time top scorer Ali, who was heavily criticized for a string of below-par displays, netted two goals so far this season.
We played very well for several games but luck wasn t on our side. Tonight it was, Al-Sheshini said.
The players are now beaming with confidence after we ended our poor run of results, he added.
The win moved the Cairo giants, who have guaranteed their top-flight status after facing a relegation scare earlier in the season, to seventh place in the 16-team table with 30 points.
