Zamalek assure Hollman's position

CAIRO: Zamalek board denied any intentions of firing German coach Rainer Hollman following the team s 3-0 defeat to ASEC Mimosas in the African Champions League, according to a statement posted on the club s official website on Thursday.
Speculation have grown that Hollman s position is insecure after Zamalek s poor display in Africa s top club competition. However the statement assured that the board has no plans of making any changes within the coaching staff.
The statement also denied holding any urgent talks with neither Hollman nor assistant coach Tarek Yehia, adding that Hollman has got the board s full backing.
The big loss to ASEC minimized Zamalek s hopes of reaching the semi-final as the team is currently lying third in quarter final Group A with just four points from four games.
