Al-Ahli s league game against ENPPI has been postponed to help the Egyptian champions prepare properly for their African Champions League final on Nov. 11, the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) said on Saturday. We ve accepted Al-Ahli s request to emphasize that the EFA is fully behind the Egyptian representative in their crucial clash, spokesman Medhat Shalabi told FilGoal.com. Al-Ahli has demanded a delay in the Egyptian League match, which was due to be played on Monday, and ENPPI accepted their request. Titleholders Al-Ahli has an uphill road to climb when they play Sfaxien in Tunis after being held to a 1-1 draw at home in the first-leg. The Tunisian Football Federation (FTF) has also postponed Sfaxien s local league match, scheduled for Sunday, against ES Hamam-Sousse to Sept. 14. Meanwhile, Al-Masri club president, Sayed Metwalli, said he was disgusted by the banner that some of his club's supporters put up during the Egyptian league match against Al-Ahli in Port Said on Thursday. A faction of Port Said's fans decided to mock the regular welcoming slogan that fans across Egypt display for the title holders with a banner declaring: Port Said doesn t love Ahli. This banner doesn't represent the sentiments of either Port Said nor Masri's fans, Metwalli said in an interview on Dream TV late on Friday. A small faction of the fans was behind this banner, and I will find the people responsible for doing such a thing, he added. Metwalli went on to accuse Zamalek fans for the incident. The relation between Masri and Al-Ahli is very good, he said. I believe a number of Zamalek supporters are the ones who put up this banner. Asked about the reason why the standoffish banner was not removed from the stadium before the game, Metwalli said: We wanted to, but the police insisted that removing the banner could cause frenzy.
