7-year-old raped by friend's brother
A seven-year-old girl was brutally raped in Al Marg area while visiting a friend who lives next door.
Donia asked her mother to go over to her schoolmate, who lived close by, to see if she would like to play with her. Shortly after, the seven-year-old shuffled back home with torn clothes and injuries all over her body, reported Al-Masry Al-Youm.
When she knocked on her friend's door, a man in his twenties, whom investigations revealed was her friend's brother, opened the door and told her his sister was in the bathroom.
He then lured her upstairs, where he tied her with ropes and kept slapping her whenever she screamed. Having gagged her, he stripped her of her clothes and molested her.
Before she left he asked her either to keep this incident a secret or risk having her tongue cut off.
In fear for her life, the girl chose to keep quiet. But when she reached her house, she fainted and was taken to Al Marg Hospital.
At Al Marg police station her parents were told that she was raped. When the victim was asked about the culprit, she refused to give any information.
When questioned, her family told police their daughter came back bleeding from her friend's house, but her friend denied having seen her that day and so did the brother.
A few days later when the girl began to recover, she confessed to having been raped by her friend's brother. He was detained in Al Marg prosecutor's office.
A voyeur caught in women's clothes
An unemployed man was caught in the ladies' public toilets disguised as woman, Al Gomhuria reported.
The man, 22, was arrested in Bab El Louk.
When a police patrol approached a woman who was walking in a strange way, she tried to vanish into thin air.
But they caught up after a long chase, and he confessed to being disguised as a woman to watch naked women in public toilets.
All for an indomitable appetite
A teacher was arrested after he posed as a physician just to have a meal from those served to the medical staff of Al Azhar medical college, Al Gomhuria daily reported.
The French-language teacher, identified as Roby, who is employed at a school in Upper Egypt, came to the college four years ago in the company of his friend, a doctor at Al Hussein University Hospital. Roby spent entire summer vacation at the medical staff's rest house.
But it seems that a few years later, Roby couldn't forget that hospitality. When he came back to Cairo to correct Thanawiya Amma exam papers, he went to the same place even when his friend had been transferred to another college.
For a few days he made his way through the crowd of doctors and got himself lunch.
But one of the doctors who started having doubts about Roby asked the head of the restaurant about him.
When he said he was not sure about his identity, he went to Roby, who told him he was a colleague.
The doctor reported the incident to Al Gamaliya police station, which upon interrogating the teacher obtained a confession. He cited an indomitable appetite as the cause of this fraud.
He was remanded to the prosecutor's office.
