Maadi City Centre completes LE 88.5 mln expansion project

CAIRO: Maadi City Centre, a subsidiary of MAF Shopping Malls, recently announced the completion of their LE 88.5 project, according to a press statement.
Following a 15 month construction process the center, which has doubled in size, has unveiled 41 new popular brands sure to entice shoppers year-round.
The center now boasts 30,000 square meters of retail space, housing a total of 85 retail outlets, along with 19,000 square meters of multilevel free car parking space.
Maadi City Centre's new retail offering comprises of a substantial fashion component including international fashion houses such as Mango, Guess, Women's Secret, Charles and Keith, Espirit, Accessorize and Xanaka.
In addition, the center will host Next, Mothercare, The Body Shop, Pimkie and Milano when they open in January 2008, to provide an even wider shopping experience for Maadi City Centre visitors.
"The completion of this expansion of Maadi City Centre is just the beginning of what MAF Shopping Malls has in store for its valued customers. Once again we have delivered on our promise of bringing the most exciting and fulfilling shopping experience to the Egyptian market. We are very proud to have brought a host of new international brands to our esteemed customers, said Steve Lalic, vice president of leasing and asset management.
Many of these new brands are available exclusively at Maadi City Centre's new extension, and as has come to be expected from the popular shopping destination, the mall is celebrating the opening and the winter season in style.
As a Christmas treat, Santa Claus will be distributing free gifts to customers during weekday mornings, and will also be available at Magic Planet, Maadi City Centre's funfair, to welcome a number of children from local orphanages.
Adding to the Christmas cheer and the celebratory mood, students from local schools will also come to sing Christmas carols. Festive decorations add the perfect finishing touch to the giving atmosphere that comes with this time of year.
