Beach fever: Where to buy swimsuits this summer
Published in Daily News Egypt on 25 - 07 - 2008

Summer season is officially here and it's got everyone packing up and running off to the North Coast. Whether you are staying until the end of August or just going for the weekend, the first thing that goes in that bag is probably your bathing suit. So it's time to shop for swimwear that'll make you shine on the coast.
Don't know where to buy this season's swimsuits? Here's a list of shops that are sure to have what you need, whether your budget is LE 3,000 or LE 90.
If you have the urge to splurge, you can find a designer bathing suit at Beymen, Ego or Zeki.
Beymen has the widest collection of bathing suits, including Dolce and Gabbana, Gucci and Prada. You can find a variety of options, but it's the sexy one-piece swimsuits that'll really grab your attention. The entire collection is to kill for - and so are the prices, which start from LE 2,000.
Conveniently located at Hacienda resort and Porto Marina, Ego brought their entire bathing suit collection to the North Coast, with a collection of bikinis catering to all tastes.
Turkish designer Zeki has a store exclusively for bathing suits in CityStars that can only be described as a haven. On display are various styles of swimsuits: ruffles, high-waists, monikinis, bikinis, one-pieces in an array of colors and prints.
There are also matching wraps for all bathing suits and even matching towels. The brand is regularly on the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue, worn by the likes of Naomi Campbell and Cindy Crawford. You can even say that paying anything from LE 1,200 and LE 2,500 is an investment.
As much as you may desire a designer collection of bathing suits this summer, sometimes you need to stay within budget. After all, you can't wear one or two bathing suits for the entire season, and CityStars has all the options you will need.
The prize this year goes to Women's Secret for their collection of bathing suits that can cater to whatever body type. Besides the latest swimwear styles, there are also plain bikinis that are sold per piece so you can mix and match. Prices start from LE 129 and do not exceed LE 289.
You may never have heard of Love Store, but the third-floor shop has a great collection of one-pieces and bikinis. Prices range from LE 290 to LE 440 for bikinis and go up to LE 700 for one-piece suits.
If you want to wear a different swimsuit everyday, head straight to Vero Moda. Although everyone shops there, they have a wide enough collection that will make it less likely for someone you know to be buy the same one.
Bottom-heavy ladies should go there for their sexy and adorable collection of boy-shorts. There is a 35 percent discount on all swimwear, which originally range from LE 90 to LE 250.
You can also find a nice swimwear collection at H&M with a price tag below LE 100, but buy it at your own risk because this is the shopping hotspot, and you may find duplicates of your swimsuit on the beach.
Bodique and Etam also have good collections, which include different styles and prints, with prices starting from LE 100 per piece and go up to LE 400 for the one-piece swimsuits.
French Connection has a limited collection, but it's worth taking a look at with prices around LE 450. While you are at CityStars, you might as well check out Morgan because you may find something you like and there is a 35 percent sale. Prices were originally between LE 300 and LE 400.
If you like the sporty-look, check out Tommy Hilfiger, Roxy [Quicksilver] and Billabong, with suits priced at around LE 500.
With swimsuit in tow, you are now ready to strut your stuff down the beach.
