CAIRO: The Egyptian Court of Cassation rejected on Wednesday a prosecution's appeal to the Criminal Court's verdict that acquitted all ex-regime figures who were accused of orchestrating the "Battle of the Camel". During the 18-day uprising that toppled former President Hosni Mubarak, on February 2 men on camels and horses stormed Tahrir Square. They attacked anti-Mubarak protesters who were holding a sit-in there until his removal, which is an incident that animated a scene first of its kind. It became commonly known in the media as the "Battle of the Camel". BN
